There is a growing number of Canadians engaged in interprovincial employment (Canadians who work in one province and reside in another). The province of residence is the ‘sending’ province, and the province of work is the ‘receiving’ province. Some interprovincial workers commute daily across provincial boundaries, whereas other interprovincial workers may commute by air, ferry, or car to work away for extended periods. The purpose of this assignment is to create two choropleth maps (a type of thematic map) to illustrate male and female interprovincial employment in Canada during the period 2002 to 2011 and answer
based on the following article:
Morissette, R., and H. Qui. 2015. “Interprovincial Employment in Canada, 2002 to 2011.” Statistics Canada. https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/en/pub/11-626-x/11-626-x2015047-eng.pdf?st=ftMC2AHt

This assignment consists of two parts, creating two thematic maps, and writing a short paper to explain why certain workers (male/female, young/old, and province of residence) engage in interprovincial employment in Canada.  All assignment must have a title page with the following information (student name, student number, course number and name, assignment number and title, my name and date). This paper MUST be submitted as a PDF format.

· Province or Territory Females).
The rows will be based on categories of the male and female interprovincial employment rates into groups, 0 – 2%, 2.01 – 4%, 4.01 – 6.00 (and so on)

Section B: 1 – 2 page paper
The purpose of this assignment is to explain why certain workers (male/female, older/younger, and province of residence) engage in interprovincial employment in Canada. For this assignment, only information from the article by Morissette and Qiu (2015) and the textbook (chapter 3) may be referenced to write a short paper (1 to 2 pages double spaced, 12 font with an introduction and conclusion) .
